Blue Aventurine Beads

Aventurine gets its name from the Italian a ventura, meaning by mistake as synthetic aventurine was discovered by accident when some copper fell into a vat of molten glass. Natural Blue Aventurine, a variety of translucent quartz, was discovered relatively recently in Brazil and derives its color from minor inclusions of Dumortierite. Aventurine also comes in Green and Peach/ Orange and less commonly, Purple. (NOTE: All beads/stones can be assumed to be about a Grade B and UNTREATED, unless otherwise specified)
