"Are all your stones drilled through?"

All of our beads are drilled through except for Cabochons and Half-drilled stones. Cabochons are those flat half-domed stones you see set in rings and such. Half-drilled beads are drilled only HALF the way through the stone (usually used for stud earrings).

"Do you sell wholesale?"

We are a Retail site and sell both "by-the-bead" and "by-the-strand". We consider the "strand" price to be Wholesale. There is a considerable discount if you purchase the entire strand.

"Do you have a catalog?"

Our catalog is entirely online and we do not publish a printed catalog at this time. This allows us to be very flexible in what we can offer our clientele and also means we can only display items we currently have in stock. This means when you get your order, you won't have to wait for a backordered or out of stock item.

"Why are you qualified to pick out these stones?"

Owned by a Geologist, we acknowledge that treatments of stones is getting more prevalent--and many dealers either lack the knowledge or knowingly sell fakes. We use our education and tests such as dyes, hardness, luster and weight (specific gravity) to test for fakes. It is our MISSION to try to bring you genuine gemstones where indicated, though we do carry treated and synthetic gemstones.

Newage Enterprises, our parent company has been in business since 1996. Our gembeads.com website has been live since 2002.
