In general, these beads are untreated. We do allow heat treating of Carnelian (an old custom was to throw Carnelian into the fire as it would deepen the color). We also allow Stabilizing--treating the gemstone with a fine resin to seal the stone. This is a great idea on porous stones such as Turquoise and Riverstone.
