Jade (Nephrite) Beads

The term Jade refers to two distinct stones: Jadeite and Nephrite Jade. Nephrite Jade is generally forest green and a bit fibrous in appearance. Most modern Nephrite Jade is mined in Canada. Grade A is a light green with few inclusions. Grade B is a darker green with some inclusions. Grade C is a darker green still, with more inclusions. Grade D is a darker green and/or with many inclusions. (NOTE: All beads/stones can be assumed to be about a Grade B and UNTREATED, unless otherwise specified)
