Obsidian (Black) Beads

Obsidian is volcanic glass and generally black in color. Sometimes called Apache Tears. All you designers--Obsidian is a hot seller with clients, but it is a brittle stone (i.e., arrowheads were made from it) so it may chip more easily than other stones. With color plays, called Rainbow Obsidian. With snowflakes/white inclusions, called Snowflake Obsidian. Obsidian with high Iron content is called Mahogany Obsidian. (NOTE: All beads/stones can be assumed to be about a Grade B and UNTREATED, unless otherwise specified)
