Rhodochrosite Beads

Sometimes called Inca Rose. Rare and highly valued for the beautiful rose pink, it can come in various shades from light pink to nearly red. Gem grade is considered having no bands at all--a nearly clear, reddish rose pink. The lower grades have increased banding and/or some dark spots. Rhodochrosite is quite soft (Hardness 3.5 to 4.0 on the Moh's Hardness Scale) so keep that in mind in your designs! (NOTE: All beads/stones can be assumed to be about a Grade B and UNTREATED, unless otherwise specified)
