Synthetic stones cover such lovely items as Strawberry or Cherry Quartz, Hematine, dyed Turquoise and dyed Rose Quartz. In general, we avoid dyed/treated stones. Why? Dyed stones can bleed and trying to clean the piece usually ruins it as the true stone beneath comes out. That said, synthetic stones are less expensive versions of the real thing--and can make some stunning pieces for a lot less! Tip! Always wash your dyed stones before stringing them!
