Turquoise Beads

Turquoise is an opaque, light robin egg blue to green stone, the bulk of which, comes from China these days. Real Turquoise is surprisingly lightweight. It derives its name from Turkish Stone, after the Turks, who considered it lucky. Ancient Arabians called it Fayruz, meaning lucky stone. Turquoise is a porous stone that loses its color and crumbles over time, so unless otherwise mentioned, all Natural Turquoise we carry has been stabilized with resin, which we consider optimal. We also carry affordable Chalk Turquoise and Synthetic Turquoise as well as the extremely expensive, Natural Sleeping Beauty Turquoise. (NOTE: All beads/stones can be assumed to be about a Grade B and UNTREATED, unless otherwise specified)
