Zircon Beads

Zircon is most often seen today as a synthetic gemstone, however, Zircon is a naturally occuring gemstone found in nature in a rainbow of colors. Zircon is a relatively sturdy gemstone with a hardness of 6-7 on the Moh's scale (about as hard as Quartz). Zircon is easily synthesized in the lab and prized as it shares the same adamantine or brilliant luster of Diamonds (though not their hardness). The name for synthetic Zircon is Cubic Zirconium and is prevalently used today as a diamond substitute. Cubic Zirconium (SYN) is genuine Zircon--it's just been created in a laboratory instead of nature.
